This autumn, the Catholic Diocese of Helsinki is hosting its third Alpha course. Many have already found their way to the Catholic Church through the Alpha course!
Course sessions will be held on Tuesdays from September 1 to October 27, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, in the parish hall of St. Henry’s Cathedral, with a weekend gathering on October 9–10 at St. James’s Church. The course has Finnish- and English-speaking groups. You can join the course during the first three sessions.
Alpha is a series of gatherings where the fundamentals of Christianity are explored in a relaxed setting. Each Alpha evening includes a meal, a short presentation, and open discussion in groups.
For those who have come to know Jesus, the course offers a great opportunity to meet new people, discuss questions of faith aloud with others, and thereby grow in faith.
Above all, however, the course is intended for seekers and skeptics. If you have a friend you would like to talk to about your faith but haven’t quite known how, this is a wonderful opportunity. Invite your friend to join you for this course and help them find Jesus!
So come to join the course and invite a friend along, too. Spend a wonderful autumn at the Alpha course!
