We invite everyone to pray for Pope Francis, who passed away on April 21, 2025. Bishop Raimo will celebrate the Mass on Tuesday, April 22 at 6 pm in St. Henry’s Cathedral.

The bishop will also celebrate an Easter Octave Mass in the Cathedral on Friday evening at 6 p.m. After that Mass, he will lead the faithful in a silent adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, which will continue in the church until midnight.

Various other parishes will also organize special moments of prayer for the soul of Pope Francis. More information is available on each parish’s own website.

The Catholic Diocese of Helsinki gathers to the celebration of a Requiem Mass for Pope Francis on Saturday, May 3, at 11 am, at Agricola Church in Helsinki (Tehtaankatu 23). The celebrant is the Bishop of Helsinki, Msgr. Raimo Goyarrola.

After the Requiem, church coffee is offered in the crypt. Welcome!
