Fr Jean Claude Kabeza to become parish priest at St Henry's

Bishop Teemu Sippo SCI has appointed Fr Jean Claude Kabeza parish priest of St Henry's Cathedral Parish from September 1, 2019. At present, Father Jean Claude is parish priest of St Ursula's Parish in Kouvola. Father Marco Pasinato, currently parish priest at St Henry's, will take on the job of leading the Redemptoris Mater seminary.

The appointment results in another change in the priests at St Henry's, as Fr Tuomas Nyyssölä, who currently is at St Henry's, has been appointed parish priest at St Ursula in Kouvola to replace Fr Jean Claude from the beginning of September. Furthermore Fr Tri Nguyen, also at St Henry's at present, has been appointed parish priest at Holy Cross Parish in Tampere from July 1, 2019.

  • Father Josef  June 19th - July 19th
  • Father Oscar July 1st - 31st
  • Father Marco July 20th - August 3rd
  • Father Federico August 1st - 25th

Farewell Mass for Fr Tri

On Sunday, January 29, Father Nguyen Toan Tri will celebrate his farewell Mass at St Henry's Cathedral, as Bishop Teemu Sippo SCI has appointed him Director of the Diocesan Centre Stella Maris. After the High Mass at 11 there will be a party for Father Tri in the Parish Hall, as we wish to thank him for his service to the parish.

Father Tri will continue to be responsible for the pastoral care of the Vietnamese in the Diocese of Helsinki, but he will be living at Stella Maris in Lohja.

Last year Fr Tri celebrated ten years as a priest and there was an interview in Fides.

Father Marino in Finland

Father Marino Trevisini, former parish priest at St Henry's Cathedral Parish, is visiting Finland again. On Wednesday, June 29, Father Marino joined the other priests of the parish for a festive Mass to mark the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul and on Sunday, July 3rd, he celebrated the High Mass at St Henry's with the current parish priest father Marco Pasinato.

Father Marino will celebrate the 11 o'clock Mass at the Cathedral on Sunday, July 10th, before returning to Trieste on Monday, July 11th.
