On Sunday, January 29, Father Nguyen Toan Tri will celebrate his farewell Mass at St Henry's Cathedral, as Bishop Teemu Sippo SCI has appointed him Director of the Diocesan Centre Stella Maris. After the High Mass at 11 there will be a party for Father Tri in the Parish Hall, as we wish to thank him for his service to the parish.

Father Tri will continue to be responsible for the pastoral care of the Vietnamese in the Diocese of Helsinki, but he will be living at Stella Maris in Lohja.

Last year Fr Tri celebrated ten years as a priest and there was an interview in Fides.

Diocesan Feast on August 13

This year's Diocesan Day will be held on Saturday, August 15th. The celebrations will begin with a Bishop's Mass in the medieval Saint Lawrence Church in Lohja at 10.00. Before the Mass, there is opportunity for confession. After the Mass, the feast will continue at Stella Maris.

St Henry's Cathedral Parish provides bus transport to and from the Diocesan Feast. The parish bus to Lohja and Stellia Maris costs EUR15 and is paid in cash on the bus. Please note that the bus will be leaving St Henry's at 8.15 a.m.

Please let the parish know if you are coming even if you come by private car, for instance by filling in this online form. If you've already signed up by calling the parish office or at a church coffee, you don't need to fill in the form.
