Pilgrimage to Köyliö

Each summer a pilgrimage is made to Köyliö to honour Saint Henry, the Patron Saint of our Cathedral, our Diocese and all of Finland. In 2017 the day Holy Mass is celebrated on the small island of Kirkkokari in Köyliönjärvi lake is Sunday, June 18. You can take part in the pilgrimage either by foot, which means setting off from Yläne on Friday, June 16, or you can take the bus from Helsinki on Sunday morning, June 18. Each summer a pilgrimage is made to Köyliö to honour Saint Henry, the Patron Saint of our Cathedral, our Diocese and all of Finland. In 2016 the day Holy Mass is celebrated on the small island of Kirkkokari in Köyliönjärvi lake is Sunday, June 19.

The bus to Köyliö leaves St Henry's Cathedral at 9 a.m. and stops at the bus 18 bus stop by St Mary's at 9.15-9.25.

The bus fare is EUR 25 and is paid in cash on the bus. An additional fee of EUR 4 is paid for the transport across the lake to the island where the Mass is celebrated.
